The trip was guided by a Brazilian guide, Marcello Padua.
It covered the region in Brazil known as the Pantanal,
an area of habitat called "chapada" which was an upland dry scrub range,
then to the Brazilian Amazon near Alta Floresta with a stay at the Cristalino Jungle Lodge
and finally to the Atlantic Rainforest area to the SE of Sao Paulo.
